Nino Christen
Nino Christen is an independent animation director and character designer and illustrator based in Zurich Switzerland. He loves storytelling and creating characters for work that has a distinctive voice whether it’s for commercials, short films, music videos or branded content. His clients include school and children books publishers, TV channels, museums and various institutions, magazines company’s, advertising agencies and graphic design studios.
In cooperation with his solid network of external specialists and artists, he is able to produce animation film projects of any size and complexity.
After training as a graphic designer in St.Gallen, Nino Christen studied animation at the College of Art and Design in Lucerne. His graduation film «Little Eden» and his debut film «L‘Île Noire» are shown at many international animated film festivals and have won several awards. He worked as an illustrator on several feature films, including 1917 Der wahre Oktober by Katrin Rothe, Molly Monster by Ted Sieger and The Scent of fear by Mirjam von Arx.
Recently, he produced the animated TV and web series FILOSOFIX. in collaboration with SRF's Sternstunde Philosophie.
