Mirjana Farkas
After a Master's degree in History at the University of Geneva (2004), I followed the illustration course at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, where I lived between 2004 and 2010.
Back in Geneva, I have been working as a freelance illustrator and in the fields of academic research, teaching and cultural mediation.
Passionate about images but also about transmission, I taught illustration at the HEAD-Geneva between 2013 and 2017, then at the ESBDi (Ecole supérieure de bande dessinée et illustration, Geneva, 2018-2020) and through projects in cultural mediation. Since 2020, I am a scientific assistant at the Bibliothèque de Genève, in charge of the Poster Collection.
I illustrate press articles, posters and other communication materials. I work on personal projects: children's books, silkscreen prints, collective exhibitions, mapping...
