Lemady is a queer, feminist artist and illustrator. She has just been longlisted for the 2023 World Illustration Awards in Children`s Publishing and shortlisted for The Northern lllustration Prize 2023. Her illustrations are made through a mixed-media collage approach, layering digital drawing with hand-made elements and photo textures. Her pictures are distinctive for their emotion, intimacy and atmosphere. Lemady is particularly interested in portraying stories and relationships through her pictures. Her fresh and distinctive approach is suited to a range of projects, particularly children`s publishing as well as exploring LGBTQ+ and feminist topics.
